Harriet Hendry
Harriet moves up to her second year in the junior ranks after a busy academic year aceing her Scottish Higher exams and the mind-boggling UCAT which should hopefully secure a place studying Dentistry later in 2025. On the bike we’re confident Harriet will be right in the mix this coming season. Supported by 360 Cycling, Harriet has been making great progress, with recent CX performances showing things are heading in the right direction.
Abigail Chaplain
Abigail moves up as a Youth from Discovery in Dundee. Abigail rides road and CX and has been making solid progress on the track too in 2024. She is also one of the country’s youngest qualified cycle coaches.
“Super excited to announce that I will be racing with Solas for 2025. Looking forward to my first junior season with an amazing group of girls.”
Tess Byrne
Tess moved up to Junior in January 2025.
Tess comes from West Lothian Clarion and was the National Youth Triathlon Champion this year so brings a strong pedigree in endurance sports.
“I’m super excited to be riding for Solas in 2025. I’m really looking forward to the racing and learning from older riders. So many fun opportunities coming up with a great group of girls to be part of.”
Isla Easto
After a long season of racing Isla E has had a different off season to most - 8 weeks of volunteering in Costa Rica in support of her plans to study Environmental Science in autumn 2025. Having made the step up to National A racing towards the end of the season, Isla’s looking forward to the coming National Road Series as a U23 and hopefully a senior title to go with the Scottish Junior TT and Critérium championships she won in 2024.
Isla McCutcheon
Isla M moves up to U23 in 2025 after a relatively quiet past year balancing racing with her Collage studies. Isla was part of the Team Pursuit team that won the Scottish Senior title and took bronze at British Track Champs back in February. Isla’s super excited to get back on the boards this winter and tackle the bigger road races next year.
Sophie Smith
Sophie is a strong addition to those riders moving up to U23 next year. Bringing a solid sprint, Sophie rode to a stand out third at the Curlew Cup in 2023 and followed that result up with further strong finishes in National A and UCI junior races in 2024.
"I am super excited to be a part of this all girls cycling team as I have never been in one before! I can’t wait for the races and all the amazing new experiences ahead, especially in Europe.”
Millie Thomson
Millie is studying Film and Media at Stirling. Her priority in 2025 is to embed herself in university life and find balance with her training and racing commitments. Millie is focussing on track in 2025 and is looking forward to building her strength again after some time off in the second half of 2024.
Molly Evans
Molly is taking some time for her studies as she embarks on her Geology degree at Glasgow University. She will continue to be supported by the Solas team so while we won’t see as much of her racing for the time being, we’re confident that she’ll be back re-energised and ready for the next chapter soon.
Evelyn Field
Evelyn is moving up to U23 this year having had a busy 2024 racing at both National and International level. She finished the season with her 2024 goal of winning the CTT Junior Girls BBAR title. Having moved to 360 Cycling Coaching towards the end of the year we are already seeing big improvements and excited to see Evie tackle more of the National A races next year.
